M.T. Srl successfully participated in the call for proposals “Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy in Enterprises 2024” promoted by Piedmont Region within the Regional Programme FESR 2021–2027.

Project Objective

The intervention involved the installation of a photovoltaic system for renewable energy production, intended for self-consumption at the production facility located at Via Vittime delle Foibe 3/B, Settimo Torinese (TO).

The site is classified under the PRGC as a “PC” area (established production zones) and is not subject to environmental, hydrogeological, or geomorphological constraints. The facility hosts the core activities of M.T. Srl, in particular the production of molds for carbon fiber components in the automotive sector.

Regulatory Framework

The project falls within the scope of the Action II.2ii.2 – Promotion of Renewable Energy Use in Enterprises, intervention line b) newly installed renewable energy systems for electricity production from hydropower or photovoltaic solar energy. The intervention was submitted in compliance with EU Regulation 651/2014, Article 41.

• Total installed capacity: 111.6 kWp
• Technology: Vertex S+ modules with DC/DC power optimizers (one every two modules)
• Installation: Rooftop of the existing building, south/south-west orientation, 35° tilt
• Grid connection: Connection to E-Distribuzione MV network

Estimated Energy Production

• Expected annual production: approx. 143,798 kWh/year
• Estimated self-consumption rate: 70%
• Expected reduction in grid energy demand: over 21%

Environmental and Business Benefits

Electricity is the main energy carrier used by the facility, with the only exception being winter heating powered by fossil fuels. The installation of a photovoltaic system therefore fully meets the company’s energy needs and reflects the concrete commitment of M.T. Modelli Torino to environmental sustainability.
